Accessibility

We strive to ensure that access to the kHaus is as barrier-free as possible for all people.

There are four accessible parking spaces in the vicinity of the kHaus:

  1. Next to the entrance to the Kasernenhof
  2. In the Kasernenstrasse
  3. At the corner of Klingentalgraben / Klybeckstrasse
  4. In the Rappoltshof

Parking on the Kasernenhof (the big courtyard in front of the building) is prohibited.

Accessible Parking Spaces

There are public sanitary facilities in the kHaus that are accessible to disabled persons. They are located in the basement (Rhine side) and on the 2nd floor.

An audio induction loop system is available in the Saal (2nd floor) for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. This means that audio signals can be received directly via the person's own hearing aid.

At kHaus, there are two defibrillators:

On the ground floor (north entrance), opposite the goods lift (publicly accessible)

On the 2nd floor, by the Saal (for events)

You can find an overview of all registered defibrillators in Switzerland using the Defikarte Schweiz.

All rooms in the kHaus are accessible by wheelchair. On the side of the Kasernenhof, there is a ramp to the left of the main entrance. The entrance on the Rhine side is at ground level. There is a lift in each of the two towers and in the central part of the building.

The kHaus is also listed on the Ginto accessibility platform in terms of barrier-free access. You can check the accessibility of and within the kHaus via the following link: Ginto app
