This evening focuses on the current protests in Serbia.
After the collapse of a train station canopy in Novi Sad, the largest protest movement in recent Serbian history has formed against the authoritarian government. In Basel, the Serbian diaspora is also showing solidarity with the students who initiated the protests. In this 'Forum Osteuropa', we will discuss with activists and experts the significance of this movement – both in Serbia and beyond.
With: Anamarija Nikoletić (PhD candidate, University of Basel) and Ivan Pokornik (student at the Faculty of Theology, University of Belgrade)
